Antique rugs and kilims

The Martin Posth Collection consists of over 100 exemplary Turkish and Anatolian rugs, manufactered during the 18th and 19th Century. German industrial manager, China pioneer and collector Dr. Martin Posth assembled the items between 1977 and 2016. Most of those rugs and kilims he acquired on the Bazaars of Istanbul, while some were purchased from respected retailers in Germany and Austria. The selection presented here reflects the heart and the time of a true and passionate collector. Today, the collection is continued and curated by Martin Posth’s daughter Jana.
